MONDAYS
Mind
Madness-Research shows
“bright” children are unchallenged the majority of the school day. Mind
Madness addresses this issue by providing kids with a rigorous
curriculum that proves to be great fun.
Riddles and logic puzzles, divergent thinking games, science
experiments, and mysteries are only a sampling of the many brain
exercises Mind Madness will
offer. The mind is too great to
waste; come join the madness!

TUESDAYS
Reading
& Writing Blast!-Blast
off to the magical world of literacy.
Children will explore consonant and vowel sounds, word families,
rhyming words, and writing activities through music, games, scavenger
hunts, art, and science. Many fun opportunities will be
offered to enhance fine and gross motor skills. Children will discover reading is a
blast!

Books,
Bubbles, & Beakers!-Books
will come to life as children explore math and reading concepts through
hands-on learning activities. Kids will go crazy as potions fizz,
bubble and ooze. They will just

Kinderology–Many kindergarteners need more learning
challenges than the traditional kindergarten curriculum offers.
Kinderology can help! Higher level
reading and math skills will be enhanced through creative
innovations, critical thinking, problem-solving, scavenger hunts, and
collaboration. Children will learn physics by building bridges, flying
planes, and creating amazing science experiments! What a great way to challenge young
learners while they are having fun.

Zizzle
& Wizzle-Calling all
three year olds to learn with Zizzle and Wizzle. Young children will be delighted with
these puppets. Zizzle and Wizzle
will teach concepts such as letters, numbers, opposites, and rhymes. Kids will squeal and laugh as Zizzle
and Wizzle tell their stories. Turn
your three year old on to learning!

These are short-term class offerings for the 2010-2011 school

Divas- Sorry guys,
divas only! Come and explore
science the girl’s way. The
science of color and fashion, glow in the dark pink snot, bath salts, perfume balloons, purple
slime, and much more! Lessons in
healthy body image and self esteem will be addressed in each class
through literature, play acting, and puppets. Together, we will dazzle!

Me Timbers: Here Come the Pirates-New class offering at Fiction, Facts, &
Fun! What a great opportunity to
incorporate reading, history, and science in a fun and creative
way. Kids will create a treasure
map, make some pirate concoctions, go on scavenger hunts, learn pirate
vocabulary, research clothing worn by pirates, experiment with light and
darkness with an eye patch, and learn some important facts about famous
pirates in history. This class
will be hit. I promise, matey!

Learning-Children will be working on activities that are conducive for

“Cook” A
Doodle Doo and Other Fun Tales- Cook up some reading fun this summer! Children will
learn basic reading and phonics skills as they mix, stir, and taste
different concoctions weekly. Each class session, a new
literature selection and phonics focus will be introduced. This
will be a hands-on, “delicious” class your child won’t want to miss.
Learning to read has never been so fun!

Brain
Bulge II-Keep pushing it! The focus will be on wacky
ways to take it to the next level. Higher level logic,
deductive reasoning, and word and math puzzles will be part of
our weekly activities. Children will be amused with fun riddles
and math tricks. Scavenger hunts, small group science investigations,
and brainstorming are some of the many activities that will be explored
in this session. Don’t miss out this summer. Let your brain
bulge with knowledge!

“Buzz” on “Biz”-Bring it on! -Calling all
entrepreneurs! Mark Zuckerberg may not be the youngest billionaire for
long! Kids will create, develop, and market their own business
ideas. They will present to a panel of judges who will determine
the winners of the competition. Each student/group will have an
opportunity to win an award. For the final project,
students will have the choice to work in a group or individually!
Loads of fun and a whole lot of learning! Come and get the buzz
on the biz!

Urban
Myths and Facts-Truth or Consequences?-Don’t
believe everything you hear! Come and explore popular urban
legends, ghost stories, superstitions, historical facts and more!

creative learning, and a whole lot of fun!

Kindergarten-I’m on my Way!-
Kindergarten is more than tying shoes! Children will
receive a jump start this summer. Reading, math, motor

Yikes,
Not Me!-The Gross Facts about Humans and other Living
Creatures-Kids are into gross! Why not learn the science behind
gross body functions? Kids will create vomit, spit, poop, ear

behind them. What a great way to get kids turned on to science!

Best of the Quirkles- The Quirkles Literacy books are
for children who want to push their reading, vocabulary, and science
boundaries. They will learn earth, life and physical science concepts

learning! Children will be enlightened as things pop, fizz, and change
color! You’ll know they are learning advanced concepts; they’ll
just know they are having fun! Gilbert, Vinnie, Zeke, Pete,
and more will make a 2010 summer debut!

reinforce skills. Children will love math after a summer in Math,
Munch, & Move.
